Fire fighting systems


The compressed air foam (CAF) is a developed foam production process where water, foam concentration and compressed air are suitably mixed to form a strong fire extinguishing foam. This type of foam is tighter and more intensive than pure water or standard foam / water solutions. Due to bubble structure, the foam adheres to the horizontal and vertical surfaces and the fire penetrates into the depths before the bubble goes out. Thus, it provides more effective extinction than aqueous systems. It is 3 to 4 times more effective than traditional foam extinguishing systems and 15 to 30 times more effective than aqueous extinguishing systems. CAF systems have began to be used in A and B class because of their fast adaptation to compelling implementation.

Application areas: Transformers, oil and fuel storage tanks, chemical facilities and chemical storage tanks, arsenals, aircraft and helicopter hangars, pumping stations, hydroelectric power stations, generators, shipyards, yacht and boat harbors (marinas), fuel loading and unloading facilities, refineries.

ACAF® (Automatic Compressed Air Foam Systems) which is the industry leader of the foam extinguishing, is the leader among limited number of companies worldwide producing FM approved compressed air foam systems.

Center of the every ACAF® system there is pneumatic foam generator as known as MX. This generator produces a special non toxic and biologically resoluble foam from the foam-water solution. Pressurized nitrogen is used to create compressed air foam (CAF) and ensure that the system operates without the need for energy.

ACAF® can comprise of single and multiple Mx CAF generators as of a pre-engineered fire extinguishing system. ACAF® can consist of single and multiple Mx CAF generators as a pre-engineered fire extinguishing system. Generators produced by ACAF®that can be designed to feed different amounts of nozzles required. Hazards can be protected with combining multiple CAF generators. CAF generators can be designed as self-contained systems under where constant flow water supply is not possible under conditions. Fire fighting systems


Fixed pipe CAF systems;

It has two different designs as (i) does not require water connection with premixing (i) and systems that require constant water supply. The both systems are designed to provide area protection with the deluge method and equipment protection with the fixed spray method. The both systems are designed in accordance with ACAF® design manual and they are FM approved foam extinguishing system products.

Self-contained, automatic fixed pipe system;

It is recommended for sites where is no fixed water source. This pre-engineered automatic fire extinguishing system uses CAF as the fire extinguishing agent. It does not need water supply to produce CAF.

Fixed water supply and automatic fixed pipe system;

It can be designed using ACAF®'s fixed water supply systems when a reliable water supply source is found. In this system, foam proportioner is used to mix the foam concentration and water at the determined 3% or 6% ratio.

Deluge system for area / zone protection;

DN7 uses its nozzles with a pipe network designed to automatically distribute the CAF throughout the hazard area. A balanced pressure pipe design will ensure that the CAF is properly distributed between these special design nozzles assembled horizontal or vertical. HDN5 nozzles are installed with fixed spray system for local applications, fixed piping positioned for automatic or manual CAF application.

It provides advantageous costs as it minimizes the number of nozzles and piping to be used by providing the highest level possible spray range.

The new FM-approved HDN5 horizontal CAF nozzle is also the widest FM-approved coverage area. FM approved and patented for assembling in vertical and horizontal positions.

Hydrocarbon or polar solvent implementations for ACAF®;

It has FM approved solution with low application rates. It is approved FFF and FM 0.05 gpm/sq. Ft. (2.04 lpm/sq. M) for the hydrocarbon fuels. Polar solvents with an AR-AFFF implementation rate will be 0.08 gpm / m2 (3.26 lpm / m2).

ACAF® automatic fixed monitor systems;

This systems are desiged to distribute CAF automatically or manually to the hazard. Dynamic or fixed monitors are connected to a fixed pipe network, which can be activated by an automatic fire detection system or operated manually.

By activating the detection system, CAF generator is triggered for generating the foam and opens a control valve simultaneously that starts the flow solution to the monitor which is constitute motion that dispenses the foam. Monitors are set to cover the entire hazard zone with CAF.

The rimseal pressurized foam extinguishing system applied in the protection of internal floating tanks used for oil or fuel storage, is a fully automatic pressurized foam extinguishing system designed to perform extinguishing in the initial stage of fire in tank protection.

CAF generator which is united with nozzles specially developed for tanks and thermal lineer sensing is designed to protect the entire gap of a floating roof tank. When system is activated, it blows off the CAF automatically into the entire gap and fills the gap in seconds with the high-quality CAF. CAF quickly extinguishes the flame in the evacuated rimeal area and protects the fuel tank against reignition. The ability of the CAF generator that is quickly expand and generate the foam is the ideal solution for fire protection of fuel-stored external floating roof tanks.

Fire fighting systems


CrossFire is the foam extinguishing system of ACAF® for the heavy duty equipment. CrossFire is a hybrid CAF system capable of extinguishing Class B spray fires and Class A fires in engine compartments. It is the only foam system that can extinguish a fuel repelling fire so far. This system has proved effective on these fires in indoors and outdoors.

CAF and CAF Mist spray are discharged from a single agent container. This unique compressed air foam system, which has been FM tested and approved, provides very high quality foam to ensure fire extinguishing. A combined CAF and CAF Mist spray is spraying into the flame, the spray will ensure that the fire is extinguished quickly. CrossFire is an effective solution for fire risk in many mobile or fixed engine compartments.

ACAF® CrossFire system is developed as a local implemetation fire extinguishing system with two different nozzle types with extinguishing agent (CAF mist single agent fire extinguishing system) for the engine parts of heavy duty equipment used in the mining industry and areas. CrossFire is optimal for wind turbines, DG sets, heavy terrain vehicles etc. It is designed according to FM 5970.

Fire fighting systems


DIFF (Deck Integrated Fire Fighting) is specialized CAF system in air transportation. DIFF pop-up nozzle of ACAF® is designed and manufactured to offer compressed air foam extinguishing systems for helipad implementations. However, it can also be used for other implementations such as equipment protection.

A DIFF system is typically used on a concrete floor on the platform of the helicopter pad. DIFF system nozzles are usually integrated into the floor area (typically deck or floor area). When these nozzles are not used it is on aline with the surface. When they begin to operate, they open to disperse the foam in 360˚ and evacuate the extinguishing foam into the flame.

ACAF® Hose Reel

It is ideal for fire fighting requirements in fields where foam is required as a fire extinguishing agent. A fixed tube hose reel and a CAF generator will automatically produce foam in case of needed without moving the equipment.


ACAF® BOSS units become ready in 3 easy steps in case of fire. It ensures the CAF to be evacuated to the fire area from a safe distance of up to 18 meters.

ACAF® EZ-1,2,3

EZ-1,2,3 CAF modules are compact CAF generators and they evacuate the foam immediately. The system consists of 1, 2 or 3 CAF generator modules. Each module produces foam-water solution up to 63 gpm. For some applications, EZ2 and EZ3 can process up to 126 gpm or 189 gpm. EZ enables easy configuration and operation.
